The only information I have found to date is a marriage record in Gibson County, Tennessee:

KARNS, Jane               marr.          EDWARDS, Wm C               on 03-APR-1843

The spelling of her Jane's last name as Karns was a fairly common occurrence, and this would have put Jane at age 20 or 21 when she married.
